Day at the Dells
When: Saturday, May 17, 11:00 AM to 6:00 p.m.

Where: You must log into the Vegetarian Meetup for location

The Cheese Factory is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells that people plan vacations around. And now I'm planning a meetup around it. They have a complete vegetarian menu and a separate vegan-only menu. Search the internet and you'll even find reviews by non-vegetarians who love it. In other words, it's worth the drive. Before we enjoy our meal at The Cheese Factory, we'll work up an appetite playing mini-golf at Pirate's Cove. And don't be surprised if I give prizes for best putt, lowest score, and most embarrassing shot. (In case of rain, we'll entertain ourselves at Knuckleheads indoor amusement park instead.) We'll leave town at 11:00 am and I would expect to get back around 6:00 pm.

Potluck Picnic Lunch
When: Sunday, July 27, 01:00 PM

In addition to some food, feel free to bring along a football, frisbee, croquet set, radio, or other picnic-friendly item. Cost: Free Food: When you RSVP, please note either the specific food you will bring or a general description (main dish, salad, drinks, dessert, etc.). Even if you are not vegan, please make sure the food you bring is. That way everyone can eat everything. But since some people may have additional dietary restrictions please also bring a card that lists the ingredients used. It's ok to bring something simple. This isn't a competition. Vegan Recipes: Some good sites that include vegan recipes are VegCooking.com, Vegetarian Times, VegWeb.com, Low Budget Vegetarian, and ClearCreekKitchen.org. Utensils: I will provide plates, cups, forks, knives, spoons, and napkins. Please bring along anything that's required for serving the food you bring. Kids: Kids are welcome to attend. Weather/Shelter: We will meet rain or shine. There's a shelter at Marshall Park. If it's not reserved its use is first-come first-serve. If it's raining there shouldn't be much competition for it, and if it's not raining it won't be a big deal not to have it. How to Find Us: Upon entering the park, turn right (left goes to the boat launch). Then walk toward the beach. The shelter is down a small pathway to the right (south).
